Overview

The ACE Engine calculates a large volume of data, which needs to be stored. The data storage needs to be rapidly scalable, secure to each company using ACE, and be capable of being queried to deliver concise results to a wide range of queries.

SQL Server Database

ACE stores the results data in Microsoft SQL Server databases, which are located in globally-distributed Microsoft Azure Data Centres. The SQL server databases are scalable on demand and located in very secure data centres. SQL servers provide a very flexible and powerful query interface so that the data, stored as a result of the ACE calculations, can accessed quickly.

Data Isolation

Photometric data and results data are stored in isolated SQL Server databases, with each customer being allocated their own database. These can be located geographically at the nearest data centre to where the data will be used.
